Waves (Vagues Vagues in French), is a multi-facetted seascape which describes sea, wind, waves, seagulls and more... Built as a tryptic, the piece mixes classical and contemporary vocabulary. Discovering this piece with the composer will allow you to understand the piece better, to practice extended techniques (whatever is your level: pizz, breath sound, sing and play, multiphonics, etc.) and to make a little sonor and imaginary trip at the seaside! The piece is high level and I hope some flutists will have a master class on it. However it will be the occasion presenting you a version for intermediate level flutist. Come with your alto flute!
