Discover "Low flutes at high tides"

Matthias Ziegler currently teaches at the Musikhochschule Winterthur Zurich and plays first flute in the Zurich Chamber Orchestra. In his search for new sounds, he has broadened the field enormously with the expressive potential of the traditional flute and the electro-acoustically amplified contrabass flute.

By amplifying the flute, he is able to increase its volume, bringing the micro-sound structures of the flute to an audible level.
