Electric Oboe

Marlies van Gangelen, founder of the Dutch experimental ensemble Perforator, will give a lecture titled Electric Oboe at the Adams International Oboe Festival.
In this lecture, Marlies will discuss the possibilities of the electric oboe, including her experience with using electronic sound effects and playing the oboe in an amplified setting. This significantly expands the instrument's color palette and offers new creative opportunities for oboists.
Program
The lecture will last one hour and provides an in-depth explanation of the oboe in electronic music. Afterward, there will be an additional hour reserved for participants to explore and experiment with electronic sound effects and the possibilities of the electric oboe themselves.
