Tuba Day - Conservatory Kortrijk
On Sunday May 31, we are organizing a pleasant and inspiring tuba day at the conservatory of Kortrijk, and you are warmly invited!
In the afternoon from 1 pm to approx. 6 pm, we will play together in a large tuba ensemble, where the joy of making music takes center stage. In addition, those who are interested can optionally participate in a masterclass. You can actively take part in a lesson yourself or simply listen and learn from other participants. (The schedule will be drawn up depending on the number of participants)
Good news: the entire day is completely free of charge!
We have invited three outstanding teachers who are eager to share their experience and passion with you:
Mauro Martins
Internationally awarded tuba player, including 1st prize at the Concours International de Saxhorn, Euphonium et Tuba in Tours (2019). He performs worldwide as a soloist, serves as a jury member at renowned competitions and has given numerous masterclasses. He is also associated with Adams Brass and Denis Wick. He is currently active as a teacher in Norway.
Frederik Leroy
Highly sought-after soloist and Principal Solo Euphonium of Kortrijk Brass Band. He studied at the Royal Flemish Conservatory of Antwerp and won several prizes, including Best Euphonium Soloist in Folkestone and Crawley. Frederik is also active as a teacher at the academies of Poperinge and Ypres and has contributed to various professional projects.
Jeroen Verleden

It promises to be a day full of music, inspiration and encounters. We hope to see you there!
