The following topics will be covered during the session: striking techniques, coordination exercises, first handpan melodies, and some basic theory about the instrument and its history.

Workshop by Thomas Tiefenbacher
Thomas Tiefenbacher is a professional percussionist, music producer and handpan player who combines his musical and shamanic expertise. Originally active as a drummer and musician in rock bands, he discovered the healing and shamanic qualities of music during his travels and encounters with spiritual teachers around the world. These experiences led him to develop a system that merges music with cosmic and shamanic knowledge. As a handpan player, Thomas integrates these instruments into his sound healing practices, creating transformative, shamanic sound experiences and introducing his students to the world of shamanic sound healing.
In his courses the participants will learn the basics of playing the handpan such as: striking techniques, coordination excercises, first handpan melodies, some basic theory about the instrument and its history.
