Roeland Hendrikx
Roeland Hendrikx is one of Belgium's leading clarinettists. He studied in Leuven and Antwerp with Walter Boeykens and further developed his skills in masterclasses with, among others, Thea King.
For many years, Hendrikx was principal clarinettist of the National Orchestra of Belgium before embarking on a solo career in 2017. He is also a highly sought-after soloist and has performed with numerous renowned orchestras, including the National Orchestra of Belgium, the Flemish Radio Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra Hagen.
He also remains a passionate advocate of chamber music, performing with his own Roeland Hendrikx Ensemble, founded in 2015, with a particular focus on the rich repertoire for clarinet, piano and strings. Roeland teaches clarinet at the Conservatorium Maastricht and the LUCA School of Arts in Leuven.
