Joey Bormans
Joey Bormans studied oboe at the Conservatorium Maastricht with Tom Owen, Ane Lore Ugarte Eizmendi and Ralph van Daal.
He gained orchestral experience on a fixed-term contract with the Duisburger Philharmoniker and has also appeared as a guest musician with the WDR Sinfonieorchester, Gürzenich-Orchester Köln, Düsseldorfer Symphoniker, Bochumer Symphoniker and WDR Funkhausorchester, among others. He was also a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester. Since the 2024/25 season, he has been the cor anglais player with the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg. (As of: 05/2026)
