Gudrun Hinze
Born in Homburg / Saar, Germany, Gudrun studied flute and piccolo in Düsseldorf and Essen and began successfully participating in national and international competitions at a young age. Since 1993, she has been solo piccolo with the Gewandhaus Orchestra in Leipzig and has become one of Germany’s leading piccolo players. She is also a permanent member of the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra and teaches piccolo at the Hochschule für Musik in Hanover. In addition, she is a sought-after soloist with many orchestras in Germany and abroad, and is a member of the Leipzig-based flute quintet Quintessenz, for which she also writes many arrangements.
She is a true authority in the piccolo world, and we are very pleased to welcome her to Ittervoort, where she will give piccolo masterclasses during the 14th Adams Flute Festival.
