Pieter Franssen (B)
We are very pleased to welcome Pieter Franssen to the Adams family and our drums endorser roster.
Pieter Franssen (22 June 1990) received his first drum lessons from Bert Paradis and Mike Machiels. He later studied at the conservatories of Antwerp and Ghent, and at the Lemmens Institute with Jan de Haas and Wouter Van Tornhout.
During his studies in Antwerp and Ghent, Pieter toured and recorded albums with bands such as Mathieu & Guillaume and attended masterclasses with Rodney Holmes, Ton Dijkman, Jim Black, Simon Philips and Christian Scott.
As a drummer he later performed with artists such as Gibson Brothers, Sandrine, Wim Soutaer, Stef Bos, Do, Johnny Logan, Günther Neefs, Sofie Verbruggen and many others. Eastside Recording Studio, located in Dilsen-Stokkem, is a production house he founded in 2017 with projects in Belgium and abroad, including Goldsmiths University of London and Andy Down (Fuerteventura).
In January '25 he released his debut album entitled "Playground", in collaboration with Poogie Bell, Mauro Pawlowski, Guy Swinnen, David Linx, Frank Deruytter and Wouter Dewit.
He is head teacher of drums and ensemble at the academies of Genk and Maaseik, and works as a guest professor at Luca School of Arts in Leuven.
