Background:
René Veerhuis, born 19/09/1968. Started drumming as a toddler on buckets, pots and lids outside until the neighbors had enough. That’s when my parents finally got me a small drum kit – in the living room (!). At 8 years old I joined a marching band, and I still benefit from learning to read music there.
After playing in school bands, I auditioned for a “professional” band at 19. I got in and have been working in the professional circuit ever since: top 100 shows, artist support in the Netherlands and abroad, and in the past 3 years – theater work.
