Double Reed Day - Lummen
On Saturday April 25th, 2026, Adams Lummen is organizing a Double Reed Day. Both oboists and bassoonists know the feeling: you have a few promising reeds in your reed case, but they often don't respond equally well in all registers and dynamics. Or the intonation isn’t reliable enough, the sound isn’t what you’re aiming for, or the reed lacks flexibility…
The reed-making course is intended for both beginners and advanced players. When registering, you can clearly indicate your playing level and knowledge regarding reed-making. During the workshop, there is space for both tying and finishing a reed, with tips and tricks for the more experienced reed maker. On this reed playing / building day, you’re guaranteed to go home with a playable reed!
The day concludes with a free concert by the double reed band, performing pieces rehearsed during the day.
