Melanie Sever is a reknowned "Flute Finder". From her destinct experiences in this field, and her knowledge of the modern flute and headjoint industry, she wrote an article on Headjoint Hunting, which is published in Flute Focus and the Dutch flutemagazine "Fluit".
Melanie Sever ist freiberufliche Flötistin und Musikpädagogin und trat professionell mit den United States Marine Corps Bands auf.
Sie studierte an der St. Olaf University in Northfield, Minnesota, und setzt derzeit ihr Flötenstudium an der University of Minnesota in Duluth fort.
Ihre Spezialisierung liegt darin, Flötistinnen und Flötisten bei der Suche nach der passenden Flöte oder dem richtigen Kopfstück zu unterstützen. Sie ist bekannt für ihr ausgezeichnetes Gehör, ihre individuelle Beratung und ihre umfassende Kenntnis der Flötenbranche.
Melanie ist aktives Mitglied der AFM Local 18, der National Flute Association (NFA), der Upper Midwest Flute Association (UMFA), der National Association for Music Education (MENC / MMEA) und der Minnesota Band Director’s Association (MBDA).
