Extended techniques & improvisation
In navolging op zijn lunchconcert geeft Victor Somma een vernieuwende workshop waarin real-time composing/improvisation en bijzondere technieken centraal staan.
Aan de hand van Somma's werk 'Primals' gaan de deelnemers aan de workshop actief aan de slag met technieken zoals wind tones en slap tonguing. Zeer toegankelijk voor spelers van alle niveau's!
"I was lucky to encounter the inspiration of masters such as Curt Schroeter, Keith Underwood, Anders Ljungar-Chapelon and Philippe Benoit and to play in different orchestras under the baton of Kurt Masur, Roberto Duarte and Noël Devos.
However, my path took me away from the orchestras; my investigation as a flutist merges with that of a composer.
Music provides an environment in which everyone serves the same purpose of doing something greater than the individuals. This made me see my most important role as an artist: to help create a space where this true communication can happen, for the growth of those who participate and for my growth as a human being, artist and educator."
