Mel Bonis’s Sonata offers a refined interplay of lyricism and elegance, showcasing a nuanced dialogue between flute and piano. Debussy’s Bruyères, a brief yet evocative piece, sets the tone for the Sonata in G minor, presented here in an arrangement for flute, where contrasts and freedom of expression are brought to the forefront.
